Carling cup Round 2, Hereford United

The draw has been made, The lower league clubs held their breath for that big draw. And for 2nd bottom of the football league, Hereford United. it did not come much bigger than the away game against Aston Villa in the second round. We all drew a huge sigh of relief at avoiding Blackburn Rovers again. Tomorrow night the team from Edgar Street bring their away support of 3,700 fans up in free travel to enjoy their day out. Villa have decided to give them the upper north stand and they should make it a cracking atmosphere for a second round game. But it will be on the pitch where everyone will be looking, can Villa carry on from where they left off on Saturday at home to Blackburn Rovers?

Will AM rest players? Will he use this game to ooze confidence through the spine of the first team or through the youth and fringe player? I would imagine that we will see a few changes with a big game against Wolves coming up on Saturday lunch time.

With our first team kep players on the bench just incase we do need to turn things around or get a couple of goals late on.

With the club not winning a piece of silverware since 1996 this is our ideal to finally banish that stat to history and have a day out at Wembley where we don't come home defeated like in recent years.

So even though i think he will play a weaker squad, maybe not as weak as the one i have chosen though. I believe for the rest of the tournament AM should when possible play his best squad but not no disrespect to Hereford but that is a game we should be winning comfortably with our younger and fringe players.

I predict a great night had by all the Hereford fans (how nice will it be to actually here some noise coming from the away support for once) But in the end i feel we will be far to strong for them, I think they could take a while to break down but after we get the first goal i can see the flood gates opening.
